Kerry's Event in Moonee Ponds
Students are leading the way on massive nation-wide #ClimateStrikes on September 20, and this time they're calling on everyone to join them.
Help make the #ClimateStrikes huge by joining this outreach event!
SIGN, BANNER-MAKING & PAPIER-MÂCHÉ EFFIGY MAKING WORKSHOPS
Tues 17 Sept – 9am to 6pm
Kerry – 0450 489 301. Ange (back-up) - 0407 308 269
To make these two days run smoothly, please ring or text Kerry (or Ange) first, to let her know when you are coming / how long you can stay (& get an ok).
The flow of people / resources needs to be managed so that the workshops are as productive as possible.
Thanks for your understanding.
Rear, 338 Ascot Vale Rd, Moonee Ponds
You can identify the place by the (now old) “ACF Climate election/I’m a climate voter” poster on the front fence. Knock on glass door to right of wooden door, where it says “Sewing School”.
PARKING: If you have a car, it's best to park at the Woolworths car park on Gladstone St & walk 2 mins to Kerry’s place. NB - do notdrive onto Kerry’s property as there is a very small parking area & it's hard to exit the driveway backwards.
You can come for as long as like, & take your time doing signs, banners, sandwich boards or papier-mâché heads.
Kids are welcome, but if they’re young, please ensure they're well supervised, and have their “well behaved” socks on! There will be food and drink (& a little music) supplied, with some raw materials too, but if you can bring some materials to make things with (to share with others), that'd be great too: things like paints, cardboard, coreflute, newspaper (as we want to make papier-mâché heads for planned effigies of politicians that are not shaping up to save our planet.
NB – please bring as many of your own raw materials as possible – every little bit helps. Thank you.
See you there!
