Jewish Climate Network's Event in St Kilda east
On September 20th the Jewish Climate Action Group will be joining Greta Thunberg and millions of students and allies around the world at the global climate strike.
The Jewish Climate Action Group was formed because we recognise that for every community to tell the truth and connect with the reality of the climate emergency, they need to hear from experts, scientists, journalists, academics and members of their own community about the climate crisis.
And right now, millions of students, the next generation, is trying to communicate to politicians and adults that unless we all come together to take drastic action, we will condemn them--our own flesh and blood--to a world we will not recognise.
We not only want to ensure that we turn out as many people as possible to the strike on September 20, but that the Jewish community has a strong, visible presence at the strike.
The next few years will be vital. We are racing towards the point of no return for global emissions.
So join us on September 15th to make a banner and ensure there is a strong Jewish presence at the Global Climate Strike. The Jewish Climate Action Group is committed to working with the community to ensure that together, we join this global movement that is urging drastic and immediate action to reduce emissions.
Students are leading the way on massive nation-wide #ClimateStrikes on September 20, and this time they're calling on everyone to join them.
Help make the #ClimateStrikes huge by joining this outreach event!
